Where does your matcha come from and how is it produced?
Our matcha comes from the Kagoshima Prefecture on the Japanese island of Kyūshū – one of the most renowned regions for high-quality green tea. There, the plants grow in nutrient-rich soil and a mild climate, which creates perfect conditions for particularly aromatic and vibrant leaves.
The leaves are harvested by hand, gently steamed, and then stone-ground into fine powder. This way, the full taste and authentic character of matcha are preserved.
How to prepare it
The best way to enjoy matcha is the traditional Japanese method. All you need is matcha, hot water, and a calm moment.
Step by step:
Add about 1–2 grams (½–1 teaspoon) of matcha into your bowl.
Pour in 70–100 ml of water at about 80 °C (175 °F).
Whisk with a chasen (bamboo whisk) in quick, zigzag motions until a fine, creamy foam appears.

How long does matcha last after opening and how should I store it?
We recommend storing your matcha in the refrigerator after opening. Our airtight tin protects against odors and keeps the powder fresh and vibrant. This way, your matcha stays at its best for about 1–2 months after opening.
